Click start to boot your emulated Macintosh from the disk you install Mac OS to. Eject your CD-ROM or remove the CD image from the list of mounted volumes. I just copied everything from the mac onto a usb flash drive and then packed it all into an ISO. Im not the most familiar with using bootable disk images (or OS 8.6 for that matter).

In my experience, it wont work with any ROM file that was created after then end of 1999 (anything from 2000 onwards wont work. After unzipping, a folder called "SheepShaver" can be found in unzipeed "SheepShaver_05_05_2010" folder. SheepShaver needs a copy of a Macintosh ROM file.
